Ensuring our children enter school ready to learn

We are committed to ensuring that every child in Nevada has the opportunity to enter school ready to learn by creating a comprehensive early childhood system in Nevada.

A few of our accomplishments around school readiness include:

Established the Strong Start for Children Campaign, which is aimed at mobilizing parents, educators, advocates and community leaders to make quality early childhood education a priority in Nevada.
Partial restoration of child care subsidy funds to support low-income working families' access to quality early learning programs, resulting in a 118% increase in State Pre-Kindergarten program slots from 2012 to 2014.
Advocacy training provided to over 1500 individuals throughout Nevada.
